Mr. Mathew has been in this industry for quite a long time. “My journey started about 20 years ago. I was into the construction industry”. As he mentions, he started off in the construction industry, yet something deep within him told him that events are the place that he has to be. “I have always loved socializing and meeting new people. I loved events and family parties”.
After working in the construction industry for a while, he got access to a lot of contacts and made quite a strong network among them. Thus, this when he finally decides to move into the events industry.
“I went from becoming a doctor of construction to doctor of events”
Your views on Virtual events?
“I don’t think it’s going to replace the on ground events or be the new normal in the future. Yes, right now it’s the best solution and is the closest to face to face interaction with people around the world. But no way virtual is going to replace on ground. However virtual events will have its prominent space in future but it would be quite niche”.
Your views about wedding expos?
“Wedding expos are essential and quite crucial for our industry. It gives you exposure, and you discover such valuable gems from the industry over there. For companies it’s a great place to find special value added services and budding entrepreneurs that can contribute a lot to the industry”.
Your views on Espousal?
“I really love the concept of Espousal. What struck me is the creative and innovative thinking which seemed like quite an out of the box idea. I love my industry. I see it as an extension of me, and it’s great to see such innovation in our industry. I feel the idea of a virtual expo is exceptional, and it will help people interact better and more with other people than they would have in an on ground event.”
