Live with Jueta Hemdev

On Tuesday the 11th of August 2020, we had Ms.Jueta Hemdev, Founder and CEO of YOLO Entertainment, as she talks about the story behind her company’s name, about why on ground events will make a huge comeback, future of virtual events and much more. She joined in for a chat with Espousal partner Shikha Nahata

Tell us about yourself:

Ms. Jueta along with her brother run the events company YOLO. For her, the events career was a matter of chance. She suddenly got a chance to work at her family friend’s company. This is where she learnt a lot about events as she was part of various events such as weddings, corporates, entertainment shows etc. She then soon decided to take a break, and that’s when her friend approached her to conduct her wedding. That’s when the entire YOLO started. “Everything in my career has happened as a matter of chance. And thus that’s why I named my company YOLO because you only live once, and thus make use of every opportunity that comes at you”.

At YOLO they curate events and especially weddings across the globe. They have clients all across the world. “We do corporate events, and we have been part of many tv shows and movies. We are in the space of events, so we even cover hospitality and logistics”.

Your opinion about the future of events?

“I don’t think virtual events will replace the on ground events. We Indians are quite emotional and give importance to touch and feel. In these 4 months, we all have given more values to human emotions. Virtual events are just the need for the hour. It’s just the way to stay connected and it’s a quick fix.”

 Your opinion about wedding expos:

“These expos provide us a platform to meet different people from the industry. It gives us a chance to interact and network with people from our fraternity. It’s a great place for everyone involved be it exhibitors or clients to network. It’s a great place for branding and marketing your stall and brands. All in all, wedding expos are a positive thing. I miss expos, and it was a great place for our fraternity people to meet.”

Your opinion about Espousal?

This is the need of the hour and it’s the need to collaborate. This is a great way to connect and communicate with others. A lot of experts and known people from the industry are part of it, and it’s going to be a great experience for everyone. I am really excited to be a part of Espousal.”
